"Where I Live… Stories from Yesterday and Today
Think about where you live. Why does it look the way it does? Who created it? What is it that brought you there? Every place has a story and every story has a place. But places cannot speak for themselves. We can only truly understand the meaning of a place – a neighborhood, a community – by sharing its stories.
The Where I Live… Stories from Yesterday and Today series invites neighborhood residents and the greater Charlottesville community to gather together and talk about where they live. Each discussion will focus on one unique neighborhood, looking at which stories underline the meaning of the community yesterday and today.
The programs take place from 3 - 5pm on the last Sunday of each month at C’ville Coffee and will feature a short interactive presentation before the floor is opened for discussion. (The Where I Live… series is a Celebrate250 event and is sponsored by Charlottesville’s Historic Resources Committee.)
