Mayor Malik’s second State of the City Address is planned for Tuesday June 3, 2025. This event is free, open to the public, and will take place outdoors at the newly renovated Lock 3 Park. Registration is not required but highly encouraged.
Gates will open at 4 pm with the Address beginning at 5 pm.
*A rain contingency is scheduled for the same date and time at a nearby location. Notifications will be posted and shared by 9 am on June 3 should the event be moved inside.
The event will be live streamed, and more details will follow about how to access the livestream. Dinner will not be served as part of the event, but food can be purchased at any of the surrounding downtown restaurants or through the concessions in Lock 3.
Following the speech, the Akron RubberDucks will celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Goodyear Blimp with their Akron Bicentennial Series kicking off at 6:35 pm. All those who register for the Mayor’s speech will have an opportunity to purchase discounted tickets for the game afterwards.
